Who Sells Treadmills & Where to Buy

Who Sells Treadmills & Where to Buy them

It’s one of the most frequent asked questions who sells treadmills and where to buy treadmills. Well, it’s not too hard to find them after you just do a quick Google search for “treadmills” online.

Walmart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Amazon and Costco are among the top four that you might see on Google organically plus many ads above them. I have even seen other non-related fitness stores selling treadmills online such as Best Buy, Ulta and Menards.

Whether you are looking at a standard grade or commercial grade treadmills, the biggest manufacture is ICON. They have many popular brands and they manufacture them in Utah. You can go to Amazon.com to find them or any of their manufacture sites such as pro-form.com or one of their other sites such as Workout Warehouse.

If you’re serious about buying a cheaper home treadmill, I recommend checking out your local Walmart store. I saw a golds gym treadmill there not long ago for a reasonable price along with an even lower priced Weslo manufactured by ICON.

Walmart has a few others and they’re usually reasonably priced. Most often, you’ll see the ICON manufacturer. ProForm, Weslo and Golds Gym are common. All of those brands are made with a lot of the same parts so even though they might have a different brand name, you could be essentially be buying the same product with inferior or superior features.

Don’t bother checking stores like Target, they have some sporting good equipment but they typically don’t have treadmills from their different stores. Although I haven’t checked any of their bigger superstores.

Make sure that if you go to Walmart, Dick‘s sporting goods or Costco and find the treadmill you want to buy, also check for the same treadmill by comparison shopping online. If you locate it online from your smartphone while in the store, you may be able to get the discount before purchasing.

Also, you will often find the same exact product online for a better price. The treadmill might be a better price from the same store or a competitor. I notice this happening all the time! It happened quite often when I owned my Treadmill-World site and the manufacturer sites would be different on one of their sites vs. another. I am sure saving one hundred plus would be really important to you.

Again, if you go to some of the manufacture websites, don’t assume that that’s the best price there is because often times these manufacturers have multiple sites with different discounts. It’s crazy! Just make sure you check for offline stores like Walmart, Costco, Dicks Sporting Good’s, etc.

For online only shopping, I highly recommend the big three: Amazon, Walmart and Dick’s Sporting Goods.

Walmart and Dick’s Sporting Goods are a few stores to check offline if you want to physically check out the machines. You won’t be able to test any treadmills at Walmart but you can get a good idea of the size and features.

If you really want to test out the treadmill before purchasing it, Dick’s Sporting Goods is a good choice to do that. But again, when you locate the right one, you’re also going to be checking online to see if you can find a better price.

In-Conclusion: Where Can You Find A Treadmill?

Now you should have all of the answers you need to make an educated decision. Do your due diligence by comparison shopping and you should do just fine. If you’re looking to buy a used treadmill, you can also check Craigslist and Garage Sales. Just make sure you test the product before taking it home. Plug it in, power it up and give it a test run. People are always getting rid of their treadmills for numerous reasons like moving, upgrading and because they joined a local gym just like me!

If you’re looking for more of a Commercial Grade Treadmill…

You won’t likely be able to find higher quality commercial grade treadmills at your local Walmart because they have lower priced models. I most cases. Dick’s Sporting Goods will be a better option for that. Even a store like Costco wouldn’t typically be your best option. But a specialty store like Dick’s Sporting Goods will give you multiple options for your home gym. But they won’t likely carry the actual LifeFitness gym quality treadmill.

Also, all of the other sites that I mentioned including the manufacturer sites are online. You’ll be able to find every possible commercial grade brands there as well. And of-course on the 800 lb. Gorilla in the room – Amazon!

But if you’re looking for just a regular standard grade cheap motorized treadmill between $400-$600-ish, then go with the first option of checking out Walmart.com and going to the Walmart store. I frequently go to Walmart and I always like seeing what they have to offer. They have a small fitness section but they have weight belts and gloves, some weights, a few treadmills, maybe an elliptical or exercise bike at times too.
